Premature Ejaculation Treatment Pills – What Are They And Do They Work?

Premature ejaculation treatment pills: what kinds of treatments are available? Do pills work and what is the best way to use them?

SSRIs

SSRIs are a modern class of antidepressants that mostly replaced a former group called tricyclics. SSRIs are used for many anxiety-related disorders. As the cause of premature ejaculation is ultimately anxiety during intercourse, then anything that gets rid of that anxiety will automatically extend your time in the bedroom.

The problem with SSRIs is that they are intended to be taken every day and affect you for 24 hours a day. If you only have anxiety when you are in the bedroom then would you want to be affected even when you are out of it? Most guys would say “no”.

The drug companies are racing to develop a much shorter acting SSRI but they have still not yet perfected this. In around three of four years there will probably be a pill available. But you have to ask yourself, do you want to do something now about your PE or do you want to wait for this drug and then regret not having done anything?

Sildenafil

Sildenafil is a drug better known as Viagra or Cialis. It is used by guys who have trouble getting an erection. But did you also know that it is used “recreationally” by guys who want to last longer? In fact, this is the secret of many actors in the adult entertainment industry.

Quite why this is so is unknown. Maybe it gives you a boost to your self-esteem that diminishes your anxiety. Maybe there is another reason. Nobody knows for sure.

Personally, I do not recommend using it for this purpose except on isolated occasions. Also, this effect of delaying your ejaculation does not work for every guy.

Verdict

Pill can work but there are downsides as well as upsides. Ultimately, none of them cure your condition – they only help you to better manage it.
